by: Slave | We're into the 2nd night of SavLAN fun, here in Coventry, and the excedingly grainy "SlaveCam" is up and running for people to see what we're up to .. why the image is quite so bad is any bodies guess (that will teach me to buy cheap rubbish I guess :) .. but to be honest we're having far to much fun to care :) ..
Friday night saw the Q2DM compo kick off and this morning both Q2CTF and Q3DM got underway .. LJ, Chilled and Dwarf are all giving it some to get people on the servers in time although I get the feeling both Q2CTF and Q3DM will extend into the night ..
For some more info of the competitions pop along to both m1ckey's and Sky's coverage ..
Everyone seems to be getting into the mood .. with [BBC]Wills going so far as dropping his pants in the middle of the bar! .. I'm sure more of that will be posted on m1ckey's web site very soon so keep checking for an update :)

by: Slave | I'm pleased to announce that ATI Technologies have agreed to continue their long running sponsorship of SavLAN's by supplying us with 5 Radoen 64MB 7500's ..
These will be used as prizes for the Quake3 DeathMatch 4v4 and 1v1 competitions .. full details of who gets what can be found on our competitions page ..
With signups now hitting the 170 mark and payments still coming along nicely this is looking to be the largest SavLAN so far .. so please remember: If you're on the signup list, can't pay by cheque/creditcard/banktransfer and would like to pay on the door please mail me so I can make a note of this. If you don't do this I can't guarantee entry into the event.

by: Slave | We now have over 160 players signed up to SavLAN3 and payments are coming in thick and fast .. so much so that we've extended the deadline for cheque/bank tranfer/creditcard payments ..

Given that we still have people yet to pay I have extended the deadline for cheque/bank tranfer/creditcard payments to be recieved to the 26th of October. So if you are going to pay by one of these methods please make sure you instigate payment as soon as possible to allow payment to reach me by next Friday. If, for whatever reason, you can not make payment by cheque/bank tranfer/creditcard please mail me and arrangements can be made to pay at the event itself.
I've had a couple of people say that they can't get their online banking to accept our bank account number due to it being 7 digits instead of the expected 8 digits. I've since been told that putting a 0 (zero) in front of the account number works. I have now changed the payment page to show this.
Those prime "near the bar" spaces are all but gone but given the bar is only in the next room it won't be that bad ;) .. so far DS, FRE, AA, TAA, AFT, HC, SC, CoG, BiO, fear.uk, c3x, Mr, GZD and YWN have booked their seats so if you're not in that list, and you've paid, mail me with your seat booking after having a look what's left .
During this week I'll be looking to sort out signup pages for all the competitions we're running at SavLAN3, to enable Clans and Players to preregister themselves. This will enable us to timetable the competitions and save time at the event. I will mail everyone who has paid once this is in place.
We will have a limited number of 10/100 Mpbs network cards for sale at the event for £10 each, so if you only have a 10 Mpbs network card (or no card at all!) and you'd like to take advantage of our fully 10/100 Mbps swicthed network please mail me and I'll put one aside for you.
Players should remember that it isn't just clans going to SavLAN3 .. so if you're not in a clan come along and enjoy the party :)

If payment is not recieved by the 26th of October your place can not be guaranteed .. you can find details of how to pay here ..
As long as your clan has sent in their payment you can now book your seating for the event.
An email with all these details (and more ;) has been sent out to all players on the attendees list, if you are on this list and have not recieved your email please mail me to change your details .. thanks.

This is on top of any other prizes we can get from sponsors .. so keep an eye out on the competition page for more updates as we get them ..
