by: Slave | Following on from the last news post .. here are a couple of things we're going to do in the bar before 10:30pm to keep things ticking over ..
The Savage Council will be in the bar Friday afternoon and we will be holding a "question and answer" session for anyone to ask us questions about Savage and our plans for the future .. as some will know from past LANs we've always been open to questioning by players about where we'd like Savage to go from here .. this is your opportunity to get full answers to your questions. Those in attendance will be Slave, Rico, Mr^B, LJ, iT, FruitBat and Gramps.
Following this we will be holding a Quiz in the bar between 7 and 9pm on the friday evening. With questions covering online gaming over the last 6 years this is sure to be a blast.

| Start of LAN delayed .. | 2002-02-12 10:43:05
by: Slave | I've just heard from Coventry Sports Center that they have a problem with our booking of the hall on the Friday evening ..
It seems the hall for Friday evening has been double booked and this 2nd booking was in fact booked before our event so can't be changed.
So instead of having access to the hall from 12noon we cannot get into the hall until 10.30pm Friday evening. From this point we will have the network up and running quite quickly as the wiring will already of been put into place and we can LAN the night away ..
To say we're not happy with this situation is an understatement and we feel completly let down by the sports centre given it was their mistake and not ours.
However .. the event is still happening, the bar is open all day Friday and it's looking like we're going to have a massive piss up Friday evening :)
As a goodwill gesture to those people who have prepaid for 3 days we will refund £5 so they only pay for 2 days instead of 3.
I will mail everyone who has signed up for the event tonight with an update of the situation.

by: Slave | Payments for SavLAN4 are starting to flow in nicely, so much so that we've been able to pay the deposit required by the venue early! .. I've just had word that SCAN have agreed to send along another Scan SC-2500 Multiregion DVD player for us to give away .. As at SavLAN3 this will be given as 1st prize for our Q3DM One on One Compo ..
AMD have also sent along some "spot" prizes .. more info on the sponsors page ..

by: Slave | With 2 weeks to go until Savage Lan 4 and over 120 people signed up it's now time to cough up your cash! ..
Details of how to pay for SavLAN4 can be found on the payment page .. and due to the need to pay the venue a deposit before the LAN takes place I would ask people to please pay as soon as possible .. Thank you to all those have paid so far, you will be marked as paid this evening ..
I'm just in the process of sorting out the competitions page so you can expect that to go live fairly soon.
As well as the normal games like Q2, Q3 and CS we'll be looking to sort out some RtCW games so if you fancy some RtCW LAN action remember to signup and send off your payment quick sharp .. we only have 50 spaces left! ..
